However, Fredericksburg also has lots of appeal for families with young children and other interests. It hosts a movie theater, bowling alleys and arcades, entertainment complexes, skating centers, and an outdoor adventure park.

The Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation, and Events Department operates and maintains 21 outdoor spaces throughout the city which feature a variety of outdoor pursuits, including playgrounds, walking trails, and a swimming pool.

Situated on the Rappahannock River, Fredericksburg, Virginia, has plenty of natural water-related activities to enjoy. Explore fly fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and boating right from your own town.
