Imagine living in a state capital with the charm and slow pace of a quaint village. If that sounds nice to you, we’ve found the perfect place. Kent County, Delaware, is known for its charming atmosphere and endless historic sites. Dover, Delaware, the state capital, is also located here in Kent.
Even though you might think the state capital should be crowded and congested, Kent County is actually the least populated area in Delaware, and it’s also the perfect location between Baltimore and Philadelphia.
The beautiful natural scenery makes this a great spot to plant your roots. The good news is that there are several builders developing new construction communities right here in Kent County. We’re going to visit three of those we think best exemplify what you can expect to find on your next home shopping excursion in Delaware.
The first neighborhood on our tour is Hickory Hollow in Smyrna, Delaware. This Ryan Homes new construction community offers the best in low-maintenance living. Imagine having a single-family detached lifestyle without all the headaches of lawn care. Well, you’ve found it here at Hickory Hollow.
And the best part is, these spacious homes feature elegant finishes and upgrades in a totally affordable price range. Unfortunately, these homes are currently sold out. But, keep your eye on this neighborhood for the next phase of the community. Or visit any of Ryan Homes nearby developments to get a glimpse at what you can expect from this top-notch builder.
Just down the road in Magnolia, Delaware, sits the next community on our list. You’re in for a treat at Chestnut Ridge, especially if you aren’t familiar with K Hovnanian Homes. This luxury-grade builder makes the finer things in life more easily accessible to the middle class. Chestnut Ridge is a prime example. With 9-foot ceilings, designer kitchens, and bonus recreation rooms, you’d expect a hefty price tag, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised—homes in this neighborhood start in the mid $200,000s. You’ll need to get over to see them quickly. Just like all the other communities nearby, we’re sure these will go fast.
For the last stop on our tour of Kent County, Delaware, we’re back to Smyrna and another Ryan Homes community. Just as with Hickory Hollow, the homes in Providence Crossing have also sold out. It’s really no wonder. The beauty and openness of this neighborhood is truly unparalleled.
Featuring large home sites, green spaces, walking trails, and much more, those first buyers must have completely fallen in love. Keep track of this neighborhood in the future. It’s sure to remain one of the best places to like in Kent County. Thanks for joining us on this little tour of Kent County. We hope to come back soon. As for you and your house hunt, we highly recommend you visit these and other developments offered by the builders we mentioned as soon as you can.
