Washington, DC: New Homes and Condos for Sale
Washington, DC was designed from scratch with lots of trees and open space, and the lowest skyline of any East Coast city. (No building may be built higher than the Capitol dome.) Rock Creek Park is one of the largest urban parks in the world. The National Park Service tends tiny parks, medians and public areas around the city. Hot summers, tree-lined avenues, and old mansions converted into offices give Washington the feel of a southern city.
Home to a diverse population, there's a Chinatown, Latino neighborhoods, and a large diplomat population. Condominiums and townhomes can be found all around the city, and beautiful well-kept neighborhoods of single-family homes and estates. In addition to DC, the metro area includes parts of Virginia and Maryland, too. The city is not just government people. Tourism, hospitality, legal firms and non-profits are also big businesses, and high-tech companies have grown up around the government and defense industries. The Nation's Capital is quite a nice place to live.
