Van Metre’s Award-Winning Community receives honors from National Wildlife Federation
Broadlands is one of only 25 communities nationwide to be named a Certified Community Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). Certified communities provide habitat for wildlife everywhere – in backyards, in parks, and near businesses, schools, and places of worship. The community also holds resident workshops about sustainable gardening practices, water conservation, stream and woodland clean up and local wildlife. National Wildlife Federation Certified Communities like Broadlands are where people and nature simply couldn’t live without each other.
